Android Engineer (f/m/d)

Job description

We are looking for an Android engineer to join our awesome mobile app team at zooplus, Europe’s leading e-tailer for pet food and pet supplies. With an annual double-digit growth rate, we have already successfully rolled out our business model in 30 European countries and we are expecting further sustainable growth in European e-commerce.


We are an ambitious and creative team on our mission to shape the future of mobile apps. In your role as an Android engineer, you will write scalable and maintainable code, while constantly improving our existing codebase and architecture. Your experience and opinions matter, so you will play a vital role in planning and defining new features. Free thinking and collaboration are highly encouraged!


Your day-to-day

  • Write clean and maintainable code
  • Identify and provide solutions for existing and upcoming products/features
  • Code reviews
  • Release and monitor our apps in the wild
  • Coffee, tea and nice chats

Requirements

You have proven experience with:

  • Android Studio
  • Android SDK
  • Clean architecture
  • Jetpack components
  • Java and Kotlin
  • Dependency Injection
  • Retrofit
  • Unit Testing
  • App architecture: MVP, MVVM
  • You are a self-starter and detail-oriented. You can complete projects with minimal supervision
  • Communication skills: as the mobile apps aggregate features and services from teams all across zooplus, collaboration and sharing is key

The gross annual salary for this position (38.5 hours/week) is minimum 50,000 EUR depending on your qualification and experience.
