As an AWS Cloud Engineer in our Cloud Engineering Chapter, you will be joining the Core Platform & Services department. You will work at the heart of Zooplus IT responsible for continuous operations and relentless improvement of our 24/7 E-Commerce Infrastructure. Working in a Product Organization means focussing on Primary topics (Technical Products) whilst supporting and collaborating on Cross-functional topics. With an already strong and mature DevOps and Infrastructure as Code approach, we focus on further developing and innovating on new parts of our platform as well as enabling and guiding our Technical users and DevOps Teams. You are given the freedom to develop a preference and focus on some Technical Products in your Chapter, while engagement in supporting other Technical Products is welcome and supported.

Chapter overview

The Cloud Engineering Chapter is currently responsible for two Technical Products: AWS Cloud Platform and Azure Cloud Platform. We implement central management tools and general architecture to provide a framework for our DevOps teams to operate their products in. With a current focus on Amazon Web Services, we are looking to further enable our migration from our as-is datacenter into the cloud.

Your responsibilities

• You implement best practices into a central platform used by all DevOps teams with IAM, SCPs, SecurityHub and GuardDuty
• You develop and operate the in-house provisioning and multi-account management platform for AWS
• You develop secure baselines in Terraform to be provisioned in the AWS environment for all our products
• You improve our platform availability and stability to ensure the company business can run without disruptions
• You consult our DevOps teams in using our products and services in the most efficient way
• You ensure 24/7 availability of our platform services and practice incident response during on-call duty

Minimum qualifications:

• University degree in a relevant field or have a proven track record in Cloud Engineering projects
  
• You are passionate about new technologies in the field of Cloud Engineering
  
• You already have at least 3 years of relevant AWS development experience
  
• You speak fluent English (at least CEFR B2)
  
• Strong knowledge working in AWS multi-account environments, AWS Organization and AWS SSO
  
• Strong knowledge in AWS IAM and SCPs
  
• Strong knowledge in AWS security services: AWS Config, SecurityHub, GuardDuty and others
  
• General understanding of AWS services
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Development skills, preferably in Python/Typescript/Go and Bash
• General understanding of Network Infrastructure basics such as DNS, DHCP, Firewalling and Load Balancing will help
• Experience with technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience in event-driven architectures, data streaming and REST APIs
• Familiar with the DevOps toolbox git, docker, Jira, Confluence, BitBucket and others
• Familiar with Agility & Scrum

The gross annual salary for this position (38.5 hours/week) is minimum 65,000 EUR. Depending on your qualification and experience we are willing to overpay.
